    RACHEL WOHLNER & DANIEL MELAMETH

October 5, 2013 in Denver, Colorado

Rachel’s father had asked her several times if she had met Daniel at the Gym, but they had not.  However, she knew who he was and was pretty sure he knew who she was. She was aware he was a computer guy who had trained with her dad and that her dad really wanted them to meet!

Rachel tried to get casually and “coincidentally” close enough to him one day while at the gym, but he seemed shy or nervous and hit the locker room, immediately. She learned later that Daniel thought she was cute, but could not think of asking her out because she was "Skip's daughter."

“HE IS THE MOST HONEST AND GENUINE PERSON I HAVE EVER MET” - RACHEL WOHLNER

Then, while grocery shopping, she ran into him. They started talking and before long, Daniel surprised her by asking her out! The guy she thought was so shy was this confident, courageous man and she was absolutely going out with him!

They have been inseparable since. “He is the most honest and genuine person I have ever met,” Rachel said.

Two years and two months later, they took a trip to Hawaii. She had a feeling he might propose on this particular trip, but she became less confident with each passing day. He took her to a wonderful little restaurant on the beach for their final dinner. They left a little early to enjoy one last incredible sunset. Almost instantly, she could tell something was different as Daniel had reverted to that shy, nervous guy she had once known!

He would not look at her and barely spoke. Finally, he threw everything he was carrying into the sand and quickly dropped to one knee. He told her that she was the best thing that had ever happened to him and proposed. She accepted, but Daniel was so nervous he forgot to give her the ring, so she nicely said to him, “Ok put the ring on my finger, now."

The first time Daniel told her he loved her they were standing outside on the deck of his house, watching a beautiful snowstorm and enjoying the peace and serenity of the snowcapped mountains and icicles glistening above. It was the most romantic experience she had ever had and she knew at that very moment that one day she would recreate that feeling at her wedding! When the day came for them to select a wedding venue, they chose the Seawell Grand Ballroom at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts because of the breathtaking view of the mountains and the cityscape.

They were the last people to leave their wedding. They walked around and looked at everything that they were not able to fully appreciate during the party such as the ice bar and the lavish dessert display.  “We didn't want to leave,” said Rachel.

At last, they strolled through the beautiful candlelit hallway with the trussing towards the exit. At the end of the night, they walked to the Four Seasons and spent the rest of the evening remembering every detail!
