Stefanie Riedel grew up in Europe and spent her early childhood in Germany, where she had an admiration for art from a young age. Master artists such as Da Vinci and Michelangelo who stirred her imagination then, still inspire and influence her today. This is especially evident in her preferred use of natural light. She beautifully captures what is real, what is life and has been doing so for over 13 years on the islands of Hawaii.

Her work emphasizes a journalistic style of photography, capturing the reflective, joyous and intimate moments of the day as they unfold. This technique, combined with her innate ability to put people at ease, creates a refreshing romantic spontaneity that expresses emotion in a truly artistic form. Her signature shots of rings, wedding gowns and other elegant details are original and quite stunning.

She has worked as a respected wedding photographer for nine years at some of the most beautiful locations on the Hawaiian Islands, in addition to commissioned work on the US mainland, Mexico and Europe.
