    MEGAN SWANAGAN & ALAN BRIDGES

September 18, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada

For their wedding, Megan Swanagan and Alan Bridges originally wanted a “big, bling wedding in a ballroom.” When the opportunity arose to get married in one of the Villas at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, however, it was too good to pass up. Enlisting the help of wedding planner Andrea Eppolito, the couple knew she was the perfect person to create that lavish, formal ambiance within the suite.

“We agreed early on that we would not replicate anything we found online, but that we would use things I loved as inspiration and bring them into the space in unexpected ways,” Megan explains. “It worked out great–my cake was set on top of a chandelier instead of under it, which everyone loved.”

“THE DÉCOR WAS TIMELESS AND CHIC, FEATURING TOUCHES OF SPARKLE AND CRYSTAL INSPIRED BY THE LIGHTS OF LAS VEGAS.”

Over the course of a year, Megan and Alan worked with Andrea in order to create a modern day fairytale. Their vision was to have a wedding with a feminine environment, yet modern and luxurious as well. With a dusty color palette of pinks, lavender, white and ivory, the décor was timeless and chic, featuring touches of sparkle and crystal inspired by the lights of Las Vegas.

The wedding took place on a Thursday, allowing for Megan and Alan’s friends and family to fly out and celebrate with them in Las Vegas for the entire weekend. A guest list of 60 people also made for a very personal, intimate affair.

While the villas at Caesar’s Palace are expansive, they chose to focus the event on the patio–which provided a stunning view of Las Vegas Boulevard–as well as the sitting room. To keep guests interested and engaged, they were moved between the two locations throughout the evening, allowing Andrea and her team to flip the space into three different environments–one for the ceremony, one for dinner, and one for late night dancing and a lounge space. In between each “event” of the night, guests were brought inside the villa. First, they enjoyed a cocktail party between the ceremony and dinner. Next, it was cake, coffee, and a dessert display between the reception and dancing.

One of the most memorable parts of the night was a very special guest–the couple’s daughter, Beyonca Mariah Bridges. The little princess was born only three months before the wedding, giving them even more reason to celebrate, and allowing the bride to get ready side-by-side with her tiny best friend.
