A Traditional All-White Wedding At The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida

It was early-2008 when Elizabeth Mayo and J. Robert Basile first met in Boston, leading to their Cape Cod engagement in August, 2013.

With their wedding date set for November of 2014, the couple decided to have a destination wedding in Palm Beach–the easiest destination for their friends and family, who were primarily flying in from the Northeast. “We always knew we wanted to turn our wedding day into a weekend,” Elizabeth says. “One night was not enough of a celebration.”

Since their wedding would be taking place thousands of miles away from home, finding a beautiful hotel venue was a top priority. Neither of them had visited Palm Beach beforehand; but when they were researching wedding venues online, they immediately fell in love with The Breakers at first sight. 

Robert and Elizabeth had nothing but rave reviews about their wedding planning experience, saying “Our Breakers wedding coordinator, as well as their design studio, made all of our wishes come true with such ease and professionalism.”

Thoroughly enjoying the planning process, one of Elizabeth’s favorite moments was meeting Charles Bunstine, CEO of Anna Maier Ulla-Maija, in his showroom at one of her custom wedding dress fittings.

The bride and groom were married at St. Ann Catholic Church in West Palm Beach. Their ceremony was wonderful, the church was the perfect setting, and their vocalist, Adrianna, made it a truly unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance.
