    PATRICIA MASSACHI AND BRANDON YADEGAR

December 13, 2014 in Los Angeles, California

When it comes to romance, Patricia Massachi and Brandon Yadegar’s wasn’t the typical love story. Both were coming out of 7-year-long relationships and, naturally, held reservations about one another after being introduced through mutual friends. It never occurred to them that they would form a relationship, let alone get married.

Over time, however, it became apparent that the connection they had created was bigger and stronger than any obstacle or trepidations. “The best love is the one that makes you a better person, without changing you into someone other than yourself,” Patricia says. “The bond we share now is more powerful by the day.”

“WE WERE ALL ABOUT MAKING EVERYTHING DIFFERENT, UNIQUE, AND SPECIAL, SO THAT PAVED THE WAY IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION FOR US”

Brandon proposed two years later in quite a unique way. As Patricia recalls, “Brandon had a cop pull us over and arrest him because he had a ‘failure to appear,’ and then he got down on one knee and proposed.” After the initial shock of seeing her boyfriend arrested, she soon went from crying, to having a huge smile on her face.

For the newly-engaged couple, picking the date and venue for their wedding was one of the more difficult challenges. After a great deal of researching and meeting with different hotels, they chose the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza. It wasn’t until after they booked the wedding date for 12/13/14, that they realized how special it was–the last consecutive date they would see in their lifetime. “We were all about making everything different, unique, and special, so that paved the way in the right direction for us,” Patricia shares.

One of their favorite parts of the wedding planning process was designing the invitations, the centerpieces, and creating their logo. Their chuppah was the center of attention, hanging in the room for the entirety of the night, and dripping with flowers and chandeliers.

Since the wedding décor was of the utmost importance, Patricia and Brandon met with their florist more than anyone. Flower canopies and 10-foot arches were created as centerpieces, with chandeliers hanging from them. They had their hanging cake stand made into a chandelier as well. With so much work and preparation going into the planning their big day, the couple was excited once it finally arrived and they were able to see everything materialize. “It was beyond our imagination,” says Patricia.

Having already made sure to tie up any loose ends, Patricia and Brandon were completely at ease and free to enjoy every moment of their wedding day. Getting ready, spending time with their creative photographer and cinema crew, doing their first looks, the ceremony, and dancing all night–it all went by much too fast, and the newlyweds were sad once it came to a close. That day, which had been planned for the past nine months, only seemed to last a couple hours. It was also the perfect way to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter. “We couldn’t be happier to start our lives together as a married couple and enjoy each other on another level,” says the bride.
