Berine Booysen and Donovan Lindhorst met while Donovan was still in the Marines. After a long-distance fairytale romance, Donovan proposed in a petal-filled suite at the popular Sandton Hotel in Johannesburg. Nine months later they married at Castello Di Monte in Pretoria, South Africa.

"I knew that Berine would be a bride to rival all others, but when I saw 'the gown,' I have to say that I felt quite a loss for words (and just a tad triumphant knowing that this bride and this dress would be fit for the pages of any top-notch bridal glossy)," says Donovan, a Royal Marines Commando, who wore his dress blues, complete with awe-inspiring regalia.

Extravagance was the tone for the evening and their guests were treated like royalty. Berine shocked everyone with a surprise serenade of "Lucky" by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat after her and Donovan's first dance. The Italian-inspired mansion was decked out with elegant floral arrangements and tall tapered white candles, complementing the architecture and setting the ambiance for a memorable evening.

After a night in the Presidential Suite, it was time to depart for their honeymoon to Zanzibar, where the couple continued their feeling of "floating in the clouds!"
