The 72nd annual Cannes Film Festival kicked off on Tuesday, with stars from around the world gathering on the French Riviera for a week of highly anticipated movie premieres. During this time, Cannes is always transformed into a pocket of global glamour, showcasing talent and fashion far beyond the borders of Hollywood. We’re only two days in, and celebrities are already showcasing a steady stream of gorgeous red carpet looks. Here are some of our favorites so far:
Bella Hadid made a stunning entrance in a tiered, sheer white Dior gown.
Ralph & Russo, who recently opened a flagship store in Monaco, was the designer of choice for Thai superstar, Araya Hargate. Her lavender ombre ballgown features a tiered skirt and crystal chain mail bodice.
Brazilian supermodel, Alessandra Ambrosio, served up some “phoenix rising” vibes by wearing a fiery red creation by Julien X Gabriela to the Les Miserables screening.
Indian TV star, Hina Khan, left a glamorous impression for her Cannes Film Festival debut, showing up to the Bacurau screening in a sparkling Ziad Nakad ensemble.
Shailene Woodley wore a Dior Haute Couture shorts and a double-breasted dress coat combo, achieving the perfect balance between masculine and feminine.
Supermodel Isabeli Fontana opted to show off some leg as well, arriving at the Rocketman screening in a custom-made velvet bustier, shorts, and maxi skirt trio by Etro.
Indian model and actress, Deepika Padukone, wowed the red carpet in a dramatic, custom Dundas masterpiece.
Elle Fanning attended the Les Miserables screening in a romantic floral frock by Valentino with statement flutter sleeves and a plunging neckline.
Ralph & Russo made a third appearance at the Cannes Film Festival opening ceremony, with Gong Li wearing a platinum Chantilly lace number with mint chiffon ruffles, hand-embroidery, and crystal and bead embellishments. The actress will also be honored with a Women in Motion award during a ceremony on Sunday.
