    TERREN LEE & BRYSON JO

October 6, 2012 in Ravello, Italy

Terren and Bryson met on a blind date in 2004. "Our mutual friend thought we should meet because we both love anime and are both tall" laughs Terren.

From 2004 to 2011, they chased each other around the world. Terren lived in Hong Kong, Japan, Italy, and Washington DC for school and work while Bryson worked in LA. Bryson moved to Naples, Italy in 2010 and Terren joined him there a year later.

“OUR MUTUAL FRIEND THOUGHT WE SHOULD MEET” - TERREN LEE

"We love to travel and collectively we’ve visited over sixty plus countries" says Terren. "Bryson is a few countries shy of visiting every sovereign country in the European Union."

When it came time for the wedding, they both agreed on one thing: something intimate. "We explored beautiful properties on Capri, Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello" says Terren "but the moment we saw the infinity pool at Belmond Hotel Caruso, we were sold."

Terren single-handedly planned the entire affair. From creating the itinerary, arranging transportation, coordinating vendors, visiting venues, choosing marbled paper for the invitations, to having vases custom-ordered through their florist. There were 25 guests who all flew in from California, New York, Hawaii and Pensylvania.

To celebrate Terren’s Chinese heritage, they held a Chinese Tea Ceremony where Terren and Bryson poured tea for both of their mothers.

Each bridesmaid picked out a different shade from Terren’s Bird of Paradise flowers for their gown. Birds of Paradise were Terren’s father’s favorite flowers. He passed away when she was little.

Terren made a custom guidebook of Naples and Ravello for the guests with recommendations for restaurants, hotels, transportation, sights and shopping. "All our guests stayed in a villa in Ravello together, which was so much fun" notes Terren.

In lieu of a traditional wedding cake, they fell in love with the ricotta pear tart dessert at the tasting and asked the Pastry Chef if he could create a larger one as their wedding cake.  He did and it was adorned simply with hydrangea.

"The magical shot that our photographer took of us standing on the edge of the infinity pool was fun to shoot" remembers Terren. She was completely for it, but all of the vendors there were more nervous than her.

"We were invited back to the hotel for their new ad campaign (that used past clients) and are cover models for the Belmond Hotel Collection magazine. You can even catch a glimpse of us in their marketing video on the homepage" laughs Terren.
