FALL 2024 BRIDAL COLLECTION

Anne Barge Bridal Inspiration

Nestled in the breathtaking backdrop of Nantucket’s coastal beauty, the Anne Barge Fall 2024 Collection emerges as a tribute to the island’s timeless elegance and romantic coastal vibes.

Picture soft, flowing fabrics that mimic the caress of the ocean breeze, delicate lace details inspired by the intricate beauty of seashells, and iconic ball gowns that awaken the spirit of classic romance.

Incorporating a palette of textured whites and ivory fabrics, the gowns sway with an effortless grace that mirrors the cobblestone streets. Silk Faille and organza flowers have been hand embroidered onto the gowns; reminiscent of the vibrant hydrangeas that bloom across Nantucket Island.

This collection is not just about dresses; it’s a representation of the love, dreams and aspirations ofevery bride who wears an Anne Barge gown.

History of Photoshoot Location:

Four Old North Wharf, also known as the Mitchell-Andrews Fish house, represents the rare survival of a vernacular work building, with relatively little alteration, in its over 170-year history. The current building replaced an earlier carpentry shop owned by the Mitchell family which burned to the water line in the "Great Fire" of 1846. Re-built, it continued as a carpentry shop until 1896 when it was bought by Holmes and McCleave, dealers in fish. James S. Andrews bought the building in 1906. He used it for his business harvesting and selling oysters, clams, and scallops as well as dory fishing for Cod, and taking pleasure sailing parties out in the summer. His sons, Clint and George, continued the same activities, adding sport fishing and mooring handling as time went on. Ownership has continued in the family to the present day. It is still a working commercial Scallop Shanty, where local fishermen open their bay scallop catches during the winter season.
