As the two artists behind Viktor & Rolf, Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren created Viktor & Rolf Mariage to bring a high-fashion edge to the bridal industry. For the Spring/Summer 2022 season, the designers are celebrating the five-year anniversary of their Mariage collection with a lineup of bridal ensembles that offer glamour and modernity with a twist.
This new collection, called “Dial V&R for Mariage,” consists of a contemporary film noir mood, creating a feeling of suspense juxtaposed by glamorous Hollywood styling. The fashion trailer and editorial photos were art directed by the designers as well.

With the launch of this new collection, Viktor & Rolf unite with the OTB Foundation to support VOW for girls, the growing global movement that is ending the international child marriage crisis.
"Marriage should be a dream for everyone," state Horsting and Snoeren.
For Mariage Spring/Summer 2022, iconic Viktor & Rolf couture elements such as elaborate signature bows, tiered volants, and a cascade of sheer organza and tulle ruffles are reimagined. This season's offering also consists of a sophisticated range of mermaid gowns with plunging necklines, alluring low-cut back interests, graceful lace flower artworks, delicate fabric covered buttons, and 60s daisy embellishments with clear crystal embroidered centers. A selection of garments is crafted out of crepe and mikado with a slight stretch which allows the dress to perfectly mold to the wearer's body.

This season's standout, the 'Duchesse Drama,' is a striking high-low gown crafted out of eco-friendly satin duchesse, featuring a flattering strapless neckline with v-slit. The enlarged detachable puffed sleeves and wide draped waistband transforms into a generous signature bow at the back, accentuating the extravagance of the gown. Tiered volants make up the high-low skirt that gives way to a dramatic train.
The Spring/Summer 2022 collection was shot and filmed in Amsterdam at the Amstel Hotel, which is characterized by a rich history of luxury.
