    ALLISON SCHWARZBACH & KYLE BRUCHMILLER

    February 10, 2018. Houston, Texas

Allison and Kyle both attended Texas A&M University, where they shared mutual groups of friends and ran in the same social circles. “It’s hard to pinpoint the exact time we met, but our relationship bloomed after graduation,” Allison recalls. “Kyle had moved to Houston and was spending time learning his new city when, lo and behold, he found out I lived in the same cul-de-sac as his aunt and uncle. Soon after that revelation, we had a lunch date and the rest is history!”

Kyle proposed in Breckenridge, Colorado when he and Allison were with their friends on a ski trip. With their friends being privy to his plan, the couple walked onto the town center bridge. Kyle pointed out the frozen creek bed to put Allison into position, kissed her, then dropped to one knee. It was so unexpected that Allison blurted out, “Are you sure?” before she could say “YES!”

ROMANTIC, MOODY, MODERN, AND WITH A TOUCH OF GLAM.

The couple’s engagement and wedding planning season lasted just over a year. “After four months of planning, Kyle got a promotion and we found out we would be moving to Pennsylvania before our wedding,” Allison explains. “That threw us a curve ball, as we now had to plan a cross-country move and a wedding. Thankfully, our mothers and amazing wedding planner – Mallory Ferreira with Two Be Wed – picked up the slack and helped us stay on track. We tried to remember that even with the stress of planning and moving, the most important thing was that we loved each other and would be married at the end of it all.”

The wedding day was met with rainy Houston weather, but everything unfolded perfectly. Allison’s favorite moment was feeling Kyle squeeze her hands during their vows, and the sly wink he gave her before they were pronounced husband and wife.

When the bride envisioned her wedding, she wanted it to be different than what had been done before – romantic, moody, modern, and with a touch of glam. What unfolded was the perfect décor scheme of dark table settings, dark floral arrangements, and a stunning agate overlay on the dance floor. The groom also loved his espresso bar, which he chose in lieu of a groom’s cake, along with South American-inspired cuisine.

“One thing we love most about weddings is dancing together, and we wanted our wedding to reflect that,” Allison describes. “The amazing Drywater Band played jazz and Motown during dinner, then kept the dance floor packed all night.” For Kyle, it was his and Allison’s private, last dance to “Come Away with Me” by Norah Jones that was his favorite moment of their wedding day. The band had surprised the newlyweds by performing the song live, which was an incredible way to end the celebration.

“We spend our honeymoon in Argentina, splitting time between Buenos Aires and Mendoza,” says Allison. “We loved everything about both places, but our most memorable part was a private dinner and Bandoneon concert on a 1940’s riverboat in the Tigre Delta during sunset. A close second would be all the fantastic Malbec!”
