    ROZANNA PONDEVA & MARTIN GASPARIAN

July 20, 2019. Santa Susana, California

Rozanna Pondeva and Martin Gasparian are a Bumble dating app success story. For Rosie, it was her first time using an app to find a match; and despite her initial trepidations, she found a connection with Martin – her “very first and only swipe.”

“After exchanging a few messages, we realized we had a mutual friend in common, which definitely made me feel at ease,” Rosie describes. “And so, we went on our ‘last first date ever,’ as Martin called it that night!

“I HAD NOTHING TO THINK ABOUT EXCEPT THE EUPHORIA OF MARRYING MY BEST FRIEND.”

I was pleasantly surprised to find how down-to-earth, un-LAish (Los Angeles) Martin was. And pretty soon, he began calling me his ‘unicorn.’ His friends had joked with him for years that he was going to be single forever, looking for a unicorn.”

On Christmas Eve of 2018, Martin and Rosie were enjoying a holiday trip to Whistler, BC. That afternoon, they took a gondola to the top of the highest mountain to get a bird’s-eye view of the snowy scenery. As they were standing thousands of feet high with clouds floating beneath them, Martin got down on one knee and proposed.

“The wedding process was definitely an experience,” says Rosie. “We planned an entire wedding in less than seven months. Going in, all I knew was I wanted a classic, glamorous, sophisticated feel. Without a single creative bone in my body, I was more than worried. But as soon as I met Lisa Shaw from Love It Events, I knew I had found my fairy godmother. To this day, I am speechless at the absolute magic that was created.”

When their July wedding date arrived, the bride and groom both woke feeling calmer than they ever have before. “As a bride, I remember being shocked at how completely stress-free and just plain giddy I was that day,” Rosie reflects. “I know a huge part of that was knowing the fabulous team of experts we had hired were there to ensure I had nothing to think about except the euphoria of marrying my best friend.”

The festivities began with a traditional Armenian church ceremony, with friends and family from around the world in attendance. After the nuptials, everyone transitioned into the “floral dream” of a wedding reception that left the newlyweds and their guests speechless. For Rosie and Martin, the rest of the evening was a blissful blur of happiness, family, friends, love, and dancing. To this day, Rosie often sifts through their wedding photos, trying to relive that magical night.

After their wedding, the newlyweds began their journey as husband and wife with a honeymoon in Italy, eating and drinking their way through Florence, Rome, Positano, and Capri.
