One morning at a café, Shant Tashdjian was having coffee with Aram, his best friend. There, he was introduced to Aram’s cousin, Diana Bedrosian. As they became more acquainted, it was clear Shant and Diana had personalities that complemented each other perfectly. “We truly had so much fun together,” Diana says. “Shant was more on the shy and quiet side, while I was not.” Sparks flew, the two were constantly laughing, and they officially started dating a few months later.
Shant often took his niece Liana to the park, where they would play and spend quality time together. Diana would also join in occasionally. On one seemingly regular day, she arrived at the park to find Liana holding a sign that said, “Will you marry me?” Shant also invited Diana’s friends to hide out in the park so they could share the moment with her, and hired a professional photographer to capture the engagement as well.
“THE MOST EMOTIONAL MOMENT FOR ME WAS MY SPEECH TO MY GUESTS AND TO MY WIFE” SHANT TASHDJIAN
For their wedding, Diana and Shant knew there were certain vendors they had to book–Duke as the photographer, Fancy That! Events as the wedding planner, and Avant Garden as the florist. The wedding planning process didn’t start until five months prior to the wedding date, which ended up being quite a hectic time. Not only was the couple renovating their new home, but Shant was also moving his business. Fortunately, Christine from Fancy That! Events was able to pull everything together and execute their plan perfectly.
By the time the wedding day arrived, and after nine years of dating, everything felt surreal. “All our guests were coming for us–to help us celebrate our love for one another," says the bride. “To know that, made me so happy when I woke up on the day of my wedding.”
As for the groom, the entire day was overwhelming with so many positive feelings and support coming from everyone in attendance. “The most emotional moment for me was my speech to my guests, friends, family, and to my wife,” he says. “There came a point when I did not want the night to end.”
The wedding décor turned out to be above and beyond the couple’s expectations. “We were absolutely shocked at the details and finished product,” the bride says. “The vendors–especially our wedding planner–knocked it out of the park.” Walking into the event space, the newlyweds were greeted with a dreamlike ambiance. Everything was white, with stunning features including a candle wall, exquisite lighting, and an all-white dance floor that covered the entire ballroom
The reception gave way to a full-on celebration, with the newlyweds and their guests dancing for four hours straight. “When the night ends, a feeling of sadness does come when you realize your wedding day is over,” Diana says. “But then you get excited, knowing that you married your favorite person, and you get to start the beginning of your own forever together.”
