    MARINA ZAKIYAN & DANIEL BECK

AUGUST 2, 2014 in Beverly Hills, California

Divorce lawyer Marina Zakiyan and her date walked into a party one night, when she saw the most gorgeous man she had ever seen.

Turning to her girlfriends, she nodded towards the man and told them he would be her future husband. Deciding that her outfit was no longer suitable, she had her date drive her home so she could change into a lacy Dolce and Gabbana number–but by the time they returned to the party, he had left.

“WE CHOSE ONE ANOTHER TO SPEND OUR ENTIRE LIVES WITH, BECAUSE FOR THE BOTH OF US, THERE COULD SIMPLY BE NO ONE ELSE.”

Feeling defeated that she probably wouldn’t see him again, Marina found herself at the Roosevelt Hotel later with some friends. Standing by the pool was that handsome stranger, whose name was Daniel Beck. Flirtatiously, Marina batted her eyelashes, patted the seat next to her and told him to come sit down. His response? “Um no, it’s okay.” For Marina, it was love at first sight; but for Danny, he was more what their friends call “a slow boil.”

Despite Danny’s initial reluctance, the two ended up dating and forming an undeniable connection. One winter’s day, Danny took his girlfriend to a mountain peak in Angela’s Crest, where he enjoys riding his motorcycle. It was completely isolated, desolate, silent, peaceful and covered in snow. While Marina was in the process of taking a selfie, she turned to find Danny kneeling in the snow, telling her how much he loves her–and of course, he popped the question.

When the big day arrived, the bride and groom were feeling calm, peaceful, and excited. “It felt very natural, and there was zero anxiety,” says the bride. The ambiance of the event was intimate and romantic, with décor that included warm colors, soft lighting, crystal chandeliers, an abundance of flowers, and a beautiful tent set up for the cocktail hour.

One of the couple’s main priorities was creating an atmosphere where they could celebrate their love with their closest friends and family. They also wanted the night to be a fun-filled party. Music and food were important, and they had an incredible band that kept guests dancing all night long. There was also a second band–an all-male group that performed boyband hits, leaving the ladies screaming as if they were at a One Direction concert. For dinner, everyone enjoyed a sumptuous eight-course meal with individual caviar presentations for each guests, tying in Marina’s Russian heritage.

By the end of the night, the newlyweds were elated to be married and happy to have been able to celebrate their unbreakable bond with loved ones. “The love that we share is simple, really,” Marina describes. “Neither one of us completes the other, and neither one of us would cease to exist without the other–but we chose one another to spend our entire lives with, because for the both of us, there could simply be no one else.”

After the wedding, Marina and Danny traveled to Iceland for their honeymoon.
