    ALVINA ASATRYAN & ADIS MAILYAN

April 27, 2018 in Los Angeles, California

It was a mutual friend of Alvina Asatryan and Adis Mailyan who first thought they’d make a great couple and suggested to Adis that he should reach out. Once they connected on Instagram, the new acquaintances began messaging back and forth, soon exchanging phone numbers. After chatting for a few days via text and phone calls, they decided it was time for a first date.

Adis picked me up and took me to the Penthouse restaurant where he had made reservations,” Alvina recalls. “We both had such a blast on our first date and felt we had known each other for years. What made us more comfortable was the fact that we had mutual friends and had seen each other here and there before we actually first spoke.”

“OUR WEDDING WAS PERFECT IN EVERY WAY”

From day one, both Alvina and Adis felt like they were truly meant to be together. “After dating for three months, I decided to finally tell my parents that I had found the love of my life,” says Alvina. “They were so excited, since it was someone’s son they knew. The same thing happened when he told his family. Everyone was so excited for us, and it made us feel so amazing. Everything happened quickly from there on out.

After ten months of spending time together, we both knew this is exactly what we had both ever imagined in a future spouse. There is a quote – ‘If two hearts are meant to be together, no matter how long it takes, how far they go, how tough it seems; fate will bring them together to share their love forever.’ When I think of this quote, I think of us.”

For their engagement, Adis asked his then-girlfriend to choose a destination she dreamed of visiting. When she chose Mykonos, he set out to plan the perfect vacation. Although Alvina was expecting the proposal to take place in Greece, Adis surprised her by popping the question over dinner with both their families present. It was the perfect way to celebrate with their loved ones before jetting off to Mykonos for a celebration all their own.

“The flowers were my favorite,” the bride adds. “I knew we were in good hands with Eddie, so during our meetings I really felt so comfortable with any direction he wanted to go in. He is a true artist! I saw my flowers for the first time when the doors opened to the church and I began walking down the aisle.

My dad and I just looked around in amazement at how stunning the arrangements were. It was like sunshine. One of our favorite moments was having Super Sako, a popular Armenian rapper, perform. It was so cool to see everyone’s reactions when he got up on stage. It was like being at a concert.”

“Our wedding was perfect in every way,” she continues. “We enjoyed every single moment. After our wedding, we went to Bali for our honeymoon. We stayed at Katamama Resort and had an amazing suite on their rooftop for a week, then spent another week in Phuket at Sri Panwa Resort, where we stayed in their luxury oceanfront villa.”
