    ARSHEEN NASSER & JAWAD VAJID

August 12, 2017. Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada

Arsheen Nasser and Jawad Vajid have known each other for quite some time, as the two started out as family friends with a mutual cousin. The past two Decembers before they started getting to know each other, they crossed paths at weddings in Dubai. Shortly after, Jawad asked Arsheen out for coffee, sparking the beginning of their relationship.

“When I first went out with Jawad, I felt a bit more comfortable knowing the fact that I already knew him; but I was definitely nervous,” Arsheen describes. “I am also a really shy person, so in the beginning Jawad did most of the talking, which was helpful. I felt an instant connection, which made the process of getting to know Jawad easier.”

PERFECT WEATHER, ROMANTIC FLORALS, AND COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF LOVE

“When I first met Arsheen, she was so easy to get along with and I really felt that I could be myself around her,” Jawad adds. “We hit it off right away, then coffee turned into lunch, then into dinner and then I knew she was the one.” Once it was time to propose, Jawad gathered their friends and families together for a party at Casa Loma, where he got down and one knee and popped the question in front of everyone they loved.

Even though rain was in the forecast for the wedding day, Mother Nature seemingly intervened during Arsheen and Jawad’s outdoor ceremony. Right as the ceremony was about to start, the clouds parted, and everyone was able to enjoy a picturesque moment together with perfect weather, romantic florals, and copious amounts of love.

“The décor was very detailed, from all the florals, to the seating arrangements, to the Persian Sofreh in the front, and it just all came together and looked amazing,” the bride recalls. “The reception decor was something I will never forget. We had florals hanging from the ceiling as well as ribbons hanging from ceiling.

The entertainment that night went so well with the theme, from the aerialist, to the fire show and to the most amazing violin player. What stood out the most was the entrance to the reception and the cake in the middle with the floral chandelier on top of it. The food at the reception was different too, because we decided to go with stations and went with mostly comfort food like burgers, poutines, and mac and cheese.

“After the wedding was done, there was a feeling of relief to know that all the planning and stressing out was finally done,” she continues. “But Jawad and I still look back and just remember how happy we were with how everything turned out, and how beautiful the whole thing was.”

For their honeymoon, the newlyweds traveled to Bora Bora and Los Angeles.
