    HEATHER FOGARTY AND KYLE WARD

JULY 2, 2016 IN BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS

In the spring of 2009, Heather Fogarty was introduced to Kyle Ward by a mutual friend in Los Angeles. After their meeting, Kyle (a screenwriter) presented Heather (an actress and musician) with a letter of recommendation written on his behalf.

“It was such a sweet and original way to ask me on a date,” Heather says. “Of course, I couldn’t say no.” They went to a romantic dinner that weekend and have been together ever since.

“THE COUPLE ENVISIONED A CLASSIC AND ELEGANT AFFAIR.”

Following six years of dating, Kyle proposed with a stunning engagement ring during a weekend getaway at Bacara Resort in Santa Barbara. They immediately began planning for a summer wedding in Heather’s hometown of Boston, Massachusetts.

The couple envisioned a classic and elegant affair. With the help of Heather’s mother, Judy of Judy Lee Design, plans were underway. Heather states, “We had a clear vision of what we wanted, but my mother brought the vision to life. Her taste as an interior designer is impeccable and she helped us enlist the best vendors that Boston has to offer. Philip Deschamps of the Four Seasons Hotel was instrumental in the process as well and a dream to work with.”

After months of preparation, summer finally arrived and they welcomed their closest friends and family with an intimate rehearsal dinner at Mama Maria in Boston’s Italian North End. Guests shared stories late into the night, enjoying cocktails and walking through the historic district.

The Ward Wedding took place on July 2, 2016 at St. Brigid Parish in Heather’s neighborhood of South Boston. The bride wore a gorgeous Anna Maier couture gown as the groom donned a Hugo Boss tuxedo. After the ceremony, they rode off in a white Rolls Royce to their reception at Four Seasons Hotel.

Guests enjoyed a specialty margarita bar and chilled seafood before making their way into the Grand Ballroom. The couple had trees brought in as a backdrop for the live jazz quartet, and the room was filled with beautiful white florals and candlelight overlooking the Public Garden.

The majority of wedding guests flew in from Los Angeles, Texas, and New York City, many of whom had never been to Boston before. Kyle and Heather love the city and wanted their guests to experience it in style. The morning after the nuptials, they threw a lavish brunch on the waterfront and chartered a private Boston Duck Tour. They resumed festivities at Fenway Park as their two respective baseball teams, the Red Sox and Texas Rangers, went head to head. And finally, the newlyweds closed out the holiday weekend under the spectacular Fourth of July fireworks, ending the celebration with a bang.
