    JENNIFER DOMINGUEZ & MIGUEL SUAREZ

April 6, 2013 in Coral Gables, Florida

They say fortune favors the bold, and few love stories begin with the boldness that Miguel Suarez showed the first night he saw Jennifer Dominguez.

Jennifer was celebrating her Quince, a Quince so grand that hundreds of kids were camped outside the Biltmore Hotel. Miguel managed to sneak inside. Miguel says when he saw her that night “her beauty captivated my heart and mind,” and he declared that one day Jennifer would be his girlfriend.

It wasn’t until another party that Jennifer met Miguel. “I hardly spoke any words. He was so handsome and muscular and it was a little intimidating.” But despite being in awe of one another, the two found their voices, and hit it off. After a memorable first date, where the hours just melted away during conversation, the two became high school sweethearts and haven’t been apart since.

“I WAS SMILING THE ENTIRE NIGHT! IT WAS THE BEST NIGHT OF OUR ENTIRE LIVES.” JENNIFER DOMINGUEZ

Twelve years later, on New Year’s Eve, Miguel and Jennifer were out shopping in New York, when Miguel asked if they could take a look at one of the rooms in the Plaza Hotel. All the rooms were occupied for New Year’s Eve, but Miguel was insistent with the concierge. They were allowed to take a look at one room, quickly before the couple that booked it arrived. They opened the door and there were rose petals everywhere!

“I said to Mike ‘Babe this is a proposal room!’... Before I knew it Mike was on one knee asking me to marry him! When I finally realized that this proposal was for me. I said YES of course!” Miguel phoned down to order champagne, and that was the signal for their parents, who Jennifer had thought were in Miami, to pour into the room with drinks to celebrate.

The wedding ceremony was held on a bright cloudless day in Florida, at the same church where Jennifer’s parents had gotten married. Jennifer was in the gown of her dreams, making her feel like a princess. “My adoring Dad wouldn’t sleep until I had a train some 17-feet long.” Miguel was floored.

Once I saw Jennifer, my jaw dropped. She looked gorgeous...she was the most beautiful bride I had ever seen.”

The reception was at The Biltmore Hotel, where Miguel saw Jennifer for the first time. Their story had come full circle. The Ballroom was decorated with glass, mirrors, and birch bark, with a breathtaking floral arrangement including cherry blossom branches, hydrangea and orchids. When Jennifer walked in, she was beside herself.

“Everything was beyond perfect and more beautiful than I had ever imagined it would be! I was smiling the entire night! It was the best night of our entire lives!” Given the strong Latin roots of both families, the evening was “non-stop dancing and partying.”

At one in the morning, the party turned into a “Hora Loca” a carnival-styled party within the party, including stilt walkers, masks, glow sticks, the works. The night ended, but the celebration continued into morning with brunch, before the newlyweds went off to the French Polynesia to begin a new chapter of their fairy tale life, together.
