    KRISTINE KELLY & CHISTOPHER DAVIS

May 28, 2011 in Santorini, Greece

Although actress and model Kristine Kelly had spent the day stunt training—working on 50 to 100-foot falls—it didn’t keep her from closing down the restaurant on her first date with Christopher Davis. “We spent hours at the restaurant,” recalls Kristine, who “felt such a special connection that I didn’t want the night to end.”

Four months later, the couple traveled to Paris and it was there that both say they fell “madly in love.” Christopher knew of Kristine’s affinity for French culture and that it was a dream of hers to visit the city. “Every moment in Paris was extremely romantic and I really got to experience Chris’s heart on every level,” says Kristine. “I saw how beautiful and passionate his heart was for me.”

“... SEEING OUR HEARTS GROW WITH PASSION EVERY MOMENT WE GET TO SPEND WITH EACH OTHER.” KRISTINE KELLY

After enduring years of a long-distance relationship—she mainly in L.A., and he in Washington, D.C., and Miami—Christopher’s proposal came during a surprise vacation to St. Barth’s in June of 2010. Although an overcast evening was potentially disrupting his plan for a moonlit proposal, he decided to “push forward with the late-night stroll down the beach and pray for the moonlight to come through an opening in the clouds.” When it did, he dropped to one knee. “Through tears of joy,” recalls Kristine, “I said ‘yes!’” The next night, they celebrated with an engagement party. Unbeknownst to Kristine, her fiancé had flown in a dozen friends just for the occasion.

Wedding planner Julia Nicolaou was able to make the bride’s dream of a romantic outdoor wedding come to life in Santorini, Greece. The location provided the perfect backdrop for the high-fashion themed nuptials. The day before the wedding, the couple threw a casual beach party and mini rehearsal to welcome their 50 guests.

Kristine’s custom Ines Di Santo gown took Christopher’s breath away when he saw her for the first time at the 6 p.m. ceremony. For the reception, the bride changed into a dress that she had designed and again blew away her husband with a surprise: she had written her vows into a song. “It was a magical moment,” she recalls, “singing it for him for the first time in front of all of our guests.” Adds Christopher: “It was by far and away the most special moment of my life, and I completely broke down. It was incredibly heartfelt and emotionally charged.”

For their first dance, the couple put their lessons to use and wowed guests with “Nefeli’s Tango,” performed live by Marina Dimitriou and her band. Fireworks capped the night. “It was a beautiful way to publicly celebrate us,” says Kristine. “It was a picture-perfect weekend,” adds Christopher, “and a luxurious experience for everyone.”

The newlyweds are planning an Italian honeymoon for the spring. In the meantime, finally living together, Kristine says that she and Chris are enjoying “keeping our romance alive with fun surprises and seeing our hearts grow with passion every moment we get to spend with each other.”
