A Classic and Minimal Wedding At Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort in Fernandina Beach, Florida

Naiz Bolin and Brett McNeill officially met at a bar in Buckhead, although they had several mutual friends between them. Naiz had moved to Atlanta in 2011 to cheer for the Falcons, and Brett moved there in 2009 for law school.

“My roommate was also a Falcons cheerleader, and she went to undergraduate school with Brett; so I give her the credit for our paths crossing,” Naiz adds. 

“When we first met, I thought he looked like Clark Kent with his Superman glasses. He was much different than any guy I’d ever been attracted to, but I found that intriguing and exciting.”

From start to finish, Naiz and Brett’s wedding was flawless. In the morning, the groom and his buddies played a round of golf, while the bride and her girlfriends enjoyed mimosas as they were getting ready for the big day. “The planning process was easy and so much fun because I had the world’s best planner, Suzanne White with We Tie The Knots,” Naiz describes.

“All our vendors were amazing – Still55 Photography, Artworks Wedding Cinema Videography, Kristen White Imagery for hair and makeup, Bobby & The Aristocats for entertainment, Artistic Florist, and the venue and catering by Omni Amelia Island Plantation. We knew we were in great hands the entire time, and loved the outcome!”

The ceremony décor was kept classic and minimal, and the reception was everything the bride had envisioned. Beautiful linens, place cards, flowers, chandeliers and food made for an exquisite sunset celebration with family and friends. The bride’s father and the groom’s brother, Austin, made the night even more special with touching speeches.

“Our wedding day was perfect,” says Naiz. “It was seriously the best day of our lives. To have all your best friends and family together in one place to celebrate your marriage is truly something special.”
