An Intimate and Romantic Destination Wedding in Cabo
As a child of the 90s, Shay Vital never imagined she’d meet the love of her life online, but it was Instagram that first connected her to Justin Davis. However, the two later discovered several close connections that made them feel as if they’d inevitably meet at some point.
“Justin, at that time, lived in Chicago and I lived in LA,” says Shay. “We managed a long distance relationship for about a year but saw each other quite often, maybe even more than the average couple living in the same city. Whether he was visiting me, or I was visiting him, we were able to spend at least half of our months together. The distance actually took us back to a 90s way of dating with lots of talking on the phone, which we both love. In fact, our very first phone conversation was a little over six hours long.”
“OUR VERY FIRST PHONE CONVERSATION WAS A LITTLE OVER SIX HOURS LONG.”
The proposal took place in 2018 when the couple was on a mini vacation in Cabo, staying at Hotel San Cristobal. Justin coordinated everything with the hotel staff and popped the question in front of their chapel – complete with a ring box camera to capture the moment from every angle possible.
Shay and Justin decided to host an intimate and romantic destination wedding in Cabo as well, where they used a light color scheme of white, beige, and blush to create the perfect ambiance. Justin put together a mood board, and the couple worked closely with their wedding planner and florist to make sure every detail was carefully thought out before the bride made her way down the aisle in a gorgeous Galia Lahav gown.
