We met ten years ago in our local town of Chester-le-Street. We had known of each other for some time, but were hesitant to start a relationship because Steven was about to leave for University. Today, we’re glad we did!
The ceremony was always the most important part of the wedding day for me. We wanted to keep everything simple, clean and elegant to highlight the beauty of the surrounding Italian lakes.
WE WANTED TO KEEP EVERYTHING SIMPLE, CLEAN AND ELEGANT TO HIGHLIGHT THE BEAUTY OF THE SURROUNDING ITALIAN LAKES.
The wedding ceremony was formal and very traditional; though, we had a laugh when Steven said “yes” instead of “si” to marry me! The nighttime reception was relaxed and fun. The event was supposed to end at 11:30 but we went on till 2:30, singing, dancing, taking Polaroids and having a dance-off!
We had stayed at Castello Di Vezio in Lake Como for a week before the wedding with our family and friends, and after we drove to France for a week in St. Tropez.
We are traveling to America in May 2014 for our “proper” honeymoon. We will be visiting New York, then flying to LA and driving up the California coast, stopping at Carmel and Santa Barbara and finishing off in San Francisco and Las Vegas.
