    XIMENA DELGADO & TIMO KIPP

March 16, 2019 in Palm Beach, Florida

Ximena Delgado and Timo Kipp’s love story started in a fairly typical way—mutual friends thought they’d be a great match and set them up on a blind date—but that simple date turned into something extraordinary. By the time they headed to Capri for a getaway, they both knew that they’d found the love of their lives.

“It was breathtaking,” Ximena says of Timo’s proposal on their picturesque hotel suite terrace at the Hotel Punta Tragara. “Timo kneeled in front of the glistening sun with Capri’s most iconic sight, the Faraglioni—the three towering rocks—behind him.”

“EVERYTHING SEEMED TO COME TO A STANDSTILL... IT WAS MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN WE HAD IMAGINED."

She said, “Yes,” and the couple began their next adventure—planning their modern fairytale-style wedding at The Breakers in Palm Beach. They chose the legendary beachfront hotel to host their wedding ceremony and reception for its classic elegance and reputation for excellence. The stunning architecture and picture-perfect beach setting probably didn’t hurt either.

They exchanged vows in The Circle, where Ximena made her way down the flower-lined white aisle to her groom, who waited for his bride next to a duo of trees. The Circle, an elaborate room within The Breakers, features lofty, 30-foot frescoed ceilings and eight museum-worthy Renaissance murals.

With that level of décor already in place, Ximena and Timo’s wedding team could focus their considerable talents on transforming The Breakers’ Venetian Ballroom into a jaw-dropping reception setting that took everyone’s breath away. The team was led by wedding planner extraordinaire Sara Renee Lowell of Sara Renee Events, and included the floral design and event production of Tantawan Bloom and architect/design firm House of Kirschner.

But it was the wedding ceremony, with its touching vows, union of the rosary and unity candle ritual, that was the most memorable part of the day for Ximena.

“Everything seemed to come to a standstill,” Ximena says of the ceremony. “The clock ticking, with everything working in perfect harmony. It was more beautiful than we had imagined.”

After the ceremony, the party got going in the hotel’s Venetian Ballroom, an elegant, sprawling room overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Ximena changed out of the exquisite Galia Lahav gown she’d worn during the ceremony and into a super-chic custom Ralph & Russo dress as the reception heated up.

The ballroom was a glamorous wonderland, brimming with lush florals high and low. The pink and white flowers rose from tables in dazzling arrangements and hung from the ceilings to create a magical feel.

From the couple’s first dance on the golden monogrammed dance floor surrounded by their friends and family to the dramatic cake cutting, the night was one they’ll never forget.

Following their Palm Beach wedding, Ximena and Timo headed out for a month-long romantic honeymoon. They started the epic trip in vibrant Marrakesh, Morocco, before flying across the globe to Singapore.

From there they went to Thailand, where they explored the beautiful country and ate delicious food. Ximena and Timo finished out the trip with relaxation and white sand beaches at the Amanpulo luxury resort on the Philippines’ Pamalican Island.
