While winter brings chilly temperatures and snowy landscapes to many parts of the world, South Beach is full of Floridian style and warmth for the holidays. Trading in snow for sand, visitors of The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach will find a variety of holiday happenings at this swanky, boutique hotel that makes it a perfect spot for Christmas cocktail hours, holiday engagements, New Year’s Eve celebrations, and winter weddings alike. There’s a whole season of love to celebrate at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach, and the those feelgood experiences can be enjoyed well into 2024.
December Happenings at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach
There’s always a variety of luxury experiences and amenities being offered at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach – from holistic treatments and journeys at The Ritz-Carlton Spa, to poolside daybeds with an ocean view. This month, however, there’s also some exclusive December happenings to help elevate the holiday season, starting with an indulgent hot chocolate station in the lobby. Visitors can stop by Friday-Sunday from 3pm – 4pm for a sweet treat. Beautiful Ritz-Carlton ornaments are also available at the Spa Retail Store on Level 3. (Hint: If you’re getting married at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach during the holidays, send guests home with a Ritz ornament as one of their wedding favors.)
As a special holiday service, guests staying at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach in December may choose from two holiday room decorating packages to make their accommodations even more festive. The Christmas room decorating package includes a Christmas tree, traditional decorations, a welcome scroll from Santa, a Ritz-Carlton logo gift, a chocolate Santa and tree, and other confections. For Hanukkah, there’s a room decorating package with a menorah, dreidels, Hanukkah gelts, and holiday treats.
Back in the lobby, people can meet Santa and Mrs. Claus December 22nd – December 24th from 1pm – 2:30pm while enjoying milk and cookies, and crafting holiday themed postcards to take home. Kwanza will also have a special celebration from December 26th – January 1st, daily from 3pm – 4pm. Finally, the hotel’s December happenings will culminate with a New Year’s toast with champagne and treats available in the lobby December 31st, from 6pm – 8pm and 10pm – midnight.
New Year’s Eve Dinner
South Beach is a high-energy destination year-round, but New Year’s Eve is an extra special night for celebrations. For those in the area who are looking for a swanky night on the town with a gourmet twist, The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach will be serving a prix fixe New Year’s Eve dinner. The menu includes six delectable courses, along with a welcome cocktail and a cava toast at midnight.
After a first course of Caviar Prassopita – a potato leek pastry with whipped Greek yogurt and caviar – guests may choose from culinary specialties like seared halloumi cheese, sea scallops, steak, lamb chops, and a Turkish chocolate cake. It’s the perfect way to ring in the new year – not to mention, an idyllic setup for a New Year’s Eve proposal.
Duchamp Jewelers
Speaking of engagements, Duchamp Jewelers is conveniently located within the lobby at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach. Couples may come across their dream engagement ring or wedding bands at Duchamp, but the boutique also carries a stunning array of high jewelry and statement pieces.
