As one of the world’s top wedding destinations, Miami is home to an exclusive collection of luxury resorts that cater to discerning clientele from around the globe. For couples looking to host a destination wedding with a glamorous backdrop and picture-perfect views of the ocean, The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach couldn’t be more fitting. With a variety of on-property culinary experiences and nearby off-property activities, the hotel serves as both a destination retreat and a springboard for local attractions.

“Set within a restored art deco landmark, our luxury hotel in South Beach reflects its lush surroundings and glamour-filled past,” describes Harrison Rohr, Marketing Director of Catering Sales. “Inspired by its rich history and iconic building, The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach is the epitome of luxury in Miami, welcoming travelers to one of the country’s most alluring cities. Our hotel experience includes a classic cocktail lounge, Lapidus Bar, that celebrates the intriguing stories of the city’s past, an elevated pool overlooking the Atlantic, and a full-service Spa that serves as a retreat for rejuvenation amid the excitement of Miami.”

Recently, The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach partnered with Intermix – a favorite boutique amongst fashionistas, located on Lincoln Road – to offer two private and exclusive shopping experiences within the resort: the In-Suite Shopping Experience, and the Shop and Spa Day. Both experiences begin with a consultation call with an Intermix stylist to determine style preferences, followed by a stylist bringing a rack of personally curated clothes for some in-suite shopping. Champagne is included, along with hair, makeup, and spa services being available as add-on services.

Before or after the big day, couples and their guests should take advantage of the hotel’s holistic spa treatments and journeys, which are designed to promote rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation. From yoga on the beach, to hydrafacials and couples massages, there’s plenty of blissful ways to pass those spare moments between a busy wedding weekend itinerary.

On the culinary front, The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach offers chef-led experiences, private dining, wine tastings, brunches, and a bevy of special events. DiLido Beach Club has all-day dining inspired by Miami’s culturally rich community; Fuego Y Mar blends flavors from Mexico, Cuba, Venezuela, and Colombia; and Lapidus Bar is a favorite for its tableside cocktail presentations and live music.

“My personal recommendation would be for guests to try our custom Aubi & Ramsa custom ice cream flavor, Creme Brûlée with chocolate wafer pieces which is made with Ritz-Carlton South Beach's own South Beach Havana Club Rum blend available at Lapidus Bar,” Harrison adds. “The perfect date night at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach would start with Lapidus Bar for a cocktail or two, followed by dinner at Fuego Y Mar and ending with rum and chocolate on the balcony of your Suite.”

“As we welcome guests back to The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach, we are committed to providing a safe environment that aligns with expert protocols for working to defeat COVID-19,” he continues. “Consisting of in-house and outside experts in food and water safety, hygiene and infection prevention, and hotel operations, our Marriott Cleanliness Council is redefining our cleaning and safety standards. We will actively monitor and evolve our solutions to ensure a continued focus on the health and safety of our guests and associates.”

The property is the vision of prolific Miami Beach architect Morris Lapidus – a restored Art Moderne building that has been reimagined to exude the vibrant culture, history, and laid-back luxury of South Beach.
