Founded by Jarar Kazmi, Sollis Studio is a luxury wedding photography collective that has mastered the art of capturing destination celebrations around the world. At the heart of Jarar's work is a focus on real connection and timeless storytelling. Drawing inspiration from travel, everyday moments, and human emotion, his approach is rooted in thoughtful, fine-art composition while capturing imagery that feels emotional, elevated, and deeply personal. Each wedding is documented with intention, allowing moments to unfold naturally and creating images that remain meaningful long after the celebration ends.

GO: How did you get started in photography and what compelled you to work within the wedding niche?

A: I got into photography through my love of travel and capturing real human connection in everyday life, focusing on meaningful moments as they naturally unfold. That perspective naturally led me to weddings many years ago, where those same emotions are heightened and deeply personal. Weddings bring together family, culture, and connection in a way few moments do, and being trusted to document that is ultimately the greatest thrill; most photographers will attest to that.

GO: How would you describe your photography style?

A: My style is fine-art, deeply emotional, and timeless. I focus on natural light and thoughtful composition while capturing imagery that feels emotional, elevated, and deeply personal for my couples. To me, every photograph should carry a story; without that intention, it becomes merely a moment paused in time rather than something truly felt. The goal is to create images that feel refined yet honest and continue to resonate long after the wedding day.

GO: Do you pose and instruct couples on what to do during a photo session?

A: Yes, but in a very relaxed way. I guide couples just enough to help them feel comfortable while encouraging their natural chemistry to come through. When that happens, it becomes much easier to capture their story in a way that feels authentic and truly reflective of who they are.

GO: What is your opinion on "trendy" poses?

A: I lean toward capturing timeless moments and poses that stand the test of time. I do appreciate trends and will incorporate them when they add artistic or fine-art value to the storytelling. It's about balance, keeping the imagery relevant without letting trends overpower emotion and connection.

GO: What are your favorite moments to capture during the wedding day?

A: I love photographing the getting-ready moments for both partners, where anticipation and emotion really build. I'm also drawn to the creative sessions after the ceremony, when things slow down and couples can truly be present with one another. Those moments often feel the most honest and meaningful.

GO: How far in advance should a couple reach out to you if they wish to book you for their wedding?

A: Ideally, couples reach out 9 to 12 months in advance. That said, peak dates in most markets are often booked 1.5 to 2 years ahead, especially for destination weddings. Timing matters, but connection and alignment are just as important.

GO: What advice do you have for couples who are searching for a wedding photographer?

A: Beyond loving the work itself, couples should look for chemistry with their photographer. Feeling comfortable and understood makes a huge difference, especially since your photographer is present during some very personal moments. When there is trust and ease, it naturally shows in the photographs.

GO: Aside from weddings, are there any other types of photography you enjoy?

A: I enjoy travel, architecture, and editorial-style portrait photography. These experiences influence how I see light, composition, and storytelling, and they naturally find their way into my wedding work.
