Colin’s professional ties to Italy made Florence a natural choice for the launch of CCL’s first permanent European office. And while the city offers a rich blend of Renaissance history, scenic venues, and a globally recognized cultural cachet, the decision was driven by the connections he made as well.
“I designed and produced my first wedding in Italy in 1995,” Colin shares. “Since then, we have done a lot of work in Italy, from Venice to Sicily – and everywhere in between. Couple that with meeting Valentina Boyer and working together on several weddings. She has proven to be a great partner, and we look forward to this journey together.”
Valentina, a seasoned event producer with a sterling reputation among Europe’s luxury planning elite, now leads daily operations at CCL Europe.

“The beauty of this relationship,” Colin explains, “is that it allows American couples to work with our design team and producers in the same time zone and in the same language, and it allows us to execute an event in Italy without having to fly an entire production team over.”

“We’re giving couples the opportunity to plan a wedding in a foreign country with confidence and style,” he says. “Taste can get lost in translation when there’s a different language and set of customs involved. Before, couples would come to Europe and look for local planners. Now they've been bringing their planners to Europe, which costs more money, but it's also been taking work away from the European planners. So, this model works for everyone. We're very excited for our upcoming weddings with CCL Europe, including one in the South of France.”
