A Timeless All-White Wedding with a Sultry Twist at four seasons hotel westlake village, CA

Sevan Behjou and Omid Natan have both lived in Los Angeles for their entire lives, but didn’t cross paths until 2023. While visiting Las Vegas for the weekend with separate groups of friends, a mutual friend made the initial introduction. From that moment on, the two groups melded into one, and ended up spending the rest of the weekend enjoying dinners and going out together.

When Sevan met Omid, the first thing she noticed was that it felt like she had known him forever. “He was a true gentleman,” she shares. “We had so much fun together and immediately clicked; from then on, we didn't want to spend a weekend apart.”

For Omid, his first thought was, “Where have you been all my life?” “A piece of me was missing,” he recalls, “and she immediately completed that puzzle. I was instantly mesmerized and willing to do whatever it takes to get us to where we are today.”

Villa de Leon in Malibu

The proposal took place during the summer, when Omid told Sevan they were invited to a colleague’s birthday party in Malibu. He even went as far as to create a fake invitation. When the couple arrived at Villa de Leon, Sevan realized it wasn’t merely a colleague’s house.

“It felt like a movie scene with the beautiful Malibu coastline and sunset,” she describes, “rose petals all over, candles, and a huge heart made of thousands of colorful roses. Our closest family members were peeking through the window from inside the villa. Omid proposed on the balcony, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.”

“A piece of me was missing, and she immediately completed that puzzle.”

Planning a Timeless White Wedding with a Sultry Twist

The wedding planning process was a collaborative journey between the couple and their wedding planner, Shadi. Meetings were held weekly, and it soon became an appointment both Sevan and Omid would look forward to – something they even miss to this day.

“We wanted a timeless white wedding with a unique, sultry twist,” Sevan explains, “and our planner really believed in our vision and helped us to bring it to life. Lighting was key; we wanted a warm, candlelit feel to make it feel like our guests had stepped into a dream, our dream. The focal points of our ballroom were the mirrored donut tables overflowed with roses and candles, and the centerpiece was a 16-foot floral tree adorned with crystals and tassels. Our florist’s stunning creation, inspirited by an AI generated image.”

Four Seasons Westlake Village and Over 400 Guests

Having set an intention to release any worries or concerns, the bride and groom experienced an “outstanding sense of peace and calmness” when their wedding day arrived. The celebration took place at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, and the couple got ready in separate suites before the festivities began. Surrounded by their nearest and dearest, more than 400 guests were showering the newlyweds with unconditional love by the time they entered their wedding reception.

“As part of our venue selection,” says the bride, “we made sure to go with a venue that we both truly loved, while also selecting a location that’s close enough for the majority of our guests, yet also enough of a distance for many attendees to create a weekend getaway out of it as well. This resulted in over 100 of our guests booking a room at our hotel, which allowed them all to spend the entire night dancing and celebrating with us comfortably until 2 a.m., followed by spending time all together the following day by the hotel’s pool area.”

The couple’s all-white wedding reception enveloped everyone in a warm and luxurious ambiance, while their DJ collaborated with a violinist, flutist, and a Darbuka hand drummer to create a live band experience. At midnight, the lights dimmed and the ballroom transformed into a club with laser light shows and nonstop dancing.

“The energy in the room was high from beginning to end,” the bride adds. “Instead of a traditional sit-down dinner, we offered a heavy cocktail hour and served six global cuisine stations throughout the night such as sushi, carving station, Brazilian BBQ, Persian, Asian and Italian – so guests could eat as they pleased while keeping the party alive.”

Sevan and Omid capped their wedding experience with a European honeymoon, traveling to Capri and Positano in Italy. They also spent five nights on the Greek island of Mykonos, where they celebrated love with close friends.

“One unforgettable moment was when we fell off a Vespa at 5mph on a romantic ride through Italy,” says Sevan. “We got up with just a few scratches on our knees, but it’s a memorable story to share and laugh at forever! We ended the trip in one of our favorite cities, Paris.”
