A Glamorous Destination Wedding in Grand Cayman with All-White Florals
Halle and Mitchell first met at Indiana University in 2018, introduced through mutual friends. One friend wanted to set them up at the time, but Halle declined; and the couple’s love story didn’t officially begin until two years later.
“We met again at brunch at the Arlo SoHo in October of 2020,” Halle shares. “When I walked in, I felt Mitchell staring at me, and from that moment on we were talking the whole day and already planned our first date. It was so easy with him and we were talking as if we knew each other forever. It was effortless. I could tell right away that he was different—he was such a gentleman, and this has never changed.”

A Summer Proposal and Family Celebration
The engagement took place at Halle’s family beach club in Atlantic Beach on August 26, 2023. It was the second time the couple’s families gathered together and the first time their siblings were meeting.

“I did not think he would propose this day,” Halle recalls, “which completely thew me off guard. I always said that when he proposed, the most important part was having both of our families there, and that I was so surprised. He did both. We spend the whole day on the beach, hanging out, had lunch and drinks. Then we all showered and got ready to go out for dinner. After we were all ready, Mitchell asked me to walk down to the water to take a photo, which was weird because we know the girl always initiates the photos. At this moment, I had a feeling he was going to, but I didn’t know what to feel. As we started walking down to the beach, I completely blacked out because I knew it was happening. I remember him saying, ‘You grew up making so many memories on this beach; lets add one more.’ Then I looked up and saw the huge ‘Marry Me’ marquee letters and roses all around and it felt like a fairytale. My body felt completely numb. It really was the best day of my life.”

Getting Married in Grand Cayman
During the beginning of the wedding planning process, the couple’s biggest struggle was deciding where they wanted to get married. All they knew was they both love the beach and being outside.

“We looked into a bunch of options and then came across Grand Cayman,” Halle says. “Something about this place felt right for us. It was the best decision we made. Everything after this fell into place with planning. It takes a while to perfect everything; but in the end, everything turned out to be exactly how we wanted and we are forever grateful.”
“It was so easy with him and we were talking as if we knew each other forever.”

The Wedding Day and Décor
The night before the wedding, the bride found herself tossing and turning due to the anticipation. When morning finally arrived, everything felt surreal. As each moment unfolded, the wedding day completely surpassed all her dreams and expectations.

“My favorite moment was walking down the aisle,” she says, “my parents standing next to me, all of our closest friends and family surrounding us. Mitchell waiting for me under the chuppah and both his parents standing next to him. It was so special, and this is the moment where it hit me—that I was getting married to the love of my life. I relive this moment over and over.”

The couple’s destination wedding took place at Kimpton Seafire, where an oceanfront ceremony was followed by a glamorous indoor reception. The wedding décor included all-white floral arrangements designed by Celebrations, mirrored tables, and crystal details that added extra layers of luxury to their Cayman Island celebration.

For their honeymoon, the newlyweds traveled to St. Barths.
“We had the most relaxing time together,” Halle shares. “We were so high on life, so excited to be married, and enjoyed everything together.”
