    ARGINEH MAILIAN & VIGEN KARAPETYAN

August 31, 2019. Los Angeles, California

Argineh Mailian and Vigen Karapetyan’s love story unexpectedly began during the winter of 2015. The two had become acquainted through mutual family and friends, often spending time together at various outings and events. Slowly, their connection grew into something more than friendship.

“When I met my wife for the first time,” Vigen says, “I knew she was the one and I was going to marry her; and I made that apparent to all.”

“WE WERE INSEPARABLE, AND I STARTED TO FALL IN LOVE WITH HIS MAGNETIC ENERGY.”

“When I met my husband, I knew he was different,” adds Argineh. “We were inseparable, and I started to fall in love with his magnetic energy. The proposal was one of the most emotional, breathtaking, and romantic experiences of our lives. It was a Sunday summer morning and I had casual plans to spend the day out with my sisters, who were keeping me busy as my husband was planning a surprise rooftop proposal.

At a final stop to the rooftop with my sisters, I walked out to the sunset skyline of Downtown Los Angeles where my husband stood anxious in the middle of a giant heart made of rose petals. I was completely frozen and speechless, and we both were very emotional. It was everything a woman could have asked for.”

The engagement was only the first step of Argineh and Vigen’s year-long wedding planning process. After several weeks of consideration, the couple decided on a cohesive wedding vision and concept that best represented who they are. What transpired was a glamorous, modern, and elegant celebration that took place at the top of a Downtown Los Angeles high-rise with 360-degree views of the city.

Guests were treated to an expansive menu inspired by the bride and groom’s American Armenian culture, and the décor embodied the concept of “simple luxury in the clouds” – all white, glass, acrylic, and silver.

“From the seven-tier acrylic lit cake cascading with fresh orchids; to the living statues dressed in abstract; silver floral arrangements that greeted and interacted with the music and guests; to the live harp, violin and saxophone which played throughout the wedding as all enjoyed the captivating sunset; and to every word expressed in our heartfelt vows to one another; it was more than what we could have imagined it to be,” the bride reflects.

The newlyweds concluded their wedding experience with an epic honeymoon in the South Pacific, traveling to French Polynesia, The Brando, and Bora Bora.

“Words cannot express the remarkable beauty of the nine shades of blue surrounding these islands,” Argineh describes. “It was a two-week adventure filled with romance, true indulgence, delicious food and adventure, with the unforgettable experience of swimming with stingrays and sharks amidst paradise.”
