Erika Kohanof and Jonathan Khodabakhsh were set up by mutual friends who were getting married. “The week he called to ask me out on our very first date, our mothers randomly met at a baby shower and wanted to set us up also,” says Erika. “Talk about fate! The rest was destiny.”
To bring their relationship full-circle, Jonathan popped the question at Pace in Los Angeles, where the couple had their first date. “He reserved a special area with just one other couple sitting next to us,” describes Erika.
“WE WERE SO EXCITED TO SPEND THE REST OF OUR LIVES TOGETHER.” - ERIKA KOHANOF
“I soon discovered the couple sitting beside us were actually photographers taking pictures the whole time! They captured beautiful photos of us before, during, and after the proposal. It was truly special.”
“We were so excited to spend the rest of our lives together,” she continues. “Planning our wedding was so exciting and easy – especially with the help of International Event Company. Jonathan Reeves and Margot Hummel made the process so enjoyable and smooth.
Jonathan and I are both conservative and have a classic taste, so we both agreed to have soft pastel colors for our ballroom. We wanted a soft and romantic look, so we chose light blush for our tables with long candelabras. We also wanted the room to have a romantic feel, so we added 12 chandeliers on top of the dance floor.
Another special touch we added to our wedding was putting a long bar at the front of the dance floor, instead of away and separate from the dance floor. That way, our guests could really enjoy the night and dance the whole night long!”
